How Garden Nook collects, uses, shares, and protects information.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Garden Nook mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). Garden Nook is a gardening companion focused initially on Austin and Central Texas. You can browse much of the Service as a guest; an account is optional for features that require persistent, account-linked data.
Effective date: August 26, 2026
Garden Nook does not currently request or collect precise GPS location for its live features.
Garden Nook supports guest browsing. Some guest personalization, including a limited saved garden, may be stored locally on your device or browser rather than in an account. Clearing app data, browser storage, or uninstalling the app may remove locally stored guest information. If you later create an account, Garden Nook may offer to migrate eligible guest state into the account.
We do not sell personal data for money, and we do not currently use Garden Nook data for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information in the following circumstances:
Garden Nook currently uses Supabase for database, storage, and authentication; Google Analytics 4 for product analytics; and Google Sign-In for optional authentication. These providers may process information under their own privacy notices. Garden Nook does not list future integrations in this Policy; if the live Service changes in a way that materially changes our data practices, we will update this Policy before or when the change takes effect, as required by law.
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Service, maintain account history, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet legal obligations, and protect security. Retention periods vary by data type and provider configuration. When you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify account-linked personal data unless retention is required or permitted by law, needed for security/fraud prevention, or stored in a manner that cannot reasonably be isolated from backups until normal backup rotation occurs.
Deleting your personal or account data does not by itself revoke the license you granted to previously submitted User Content under the Terms of Use, where continued use of that content is permitted by applicable law. You continue to own your User Content, and we will still honor legally valid deletion, access, and other privacy requests relating to your personal data.
Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies to Garden Nook, you may have rights to access or confirm processing of your personal data, correct inaccuracies, delete data, obtain a portable copy, withdraw consent, or opt out of certain processing such as sale, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling. Garden Nook does not currently sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising.
You can learn how to exercise these rights in the separate Garden Nook Privacy Choices document. Signed-in users can initiate account deletion directly in Profile > Delete Account. You may also submit a deletion or privacy request by emailing gracheva.daria@gmail.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Garden Nook is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn that we collected personal data from a child under 13 without required parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your device and account credentials.
Garden Nook and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where providers operate. Those locations may have data-protection rules different from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, appropriate legal safeguards will be used for cross-border transfers.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service changes or as legal requirements evolve. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and, when required, provide additional notice or obtain consent.
